The institute also runs a three-year, semester-system, academic-cum-vocational program affiliated to CTEVT (Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training). The program produces middle-level manpower for food industries and allied fields. The program has an enrollment capacity of 48 students. The entrance and semester exams are conducted by CTEVT. The program was started in 2000. To this day, we do not have any record of unemployment of the diploma graduates of this program. They undergo a rigorous 3-month On-The-Job-Training (OJT) in various food industries in the final (sixth) semester. These graduates are employed in Nepal as well as abroad. A few of them are pursuing higher studies, (B.Tech. (Food), Computer Science, Biotechnology, Management, Tea Management and Technology, etc.) in Nepal and abroad. The program operates under a subsidiary wing viz., NAAST College.
